> Managed organisations are [organisations](https://scopious.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/85917701/Glossary+of+Terms#Organisation) that are managed by a [Reseller](https://scopious.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/85917701/Glossary+of+Terms#Reseller).

> ℹ️ To create a managed organisation, you must first be a Reseller of the Scopious platform. If you are not a Reseller and you would like to become one, [apply to become a reseller](https://scopious.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/75152378).

To create a managed organisation:

1. Navigate to the **Customers** page using the navigation menu on the left side of the screen (only available to Resellers).
2. Click **Create Customer**.
3. Enter a name (and optionally a website) for the managed organisation.
4. (Optional) Select members of your current organisation that you would like to invite to this new organisation.
5. Click **Create Organisation**.

> ℹ️ You will automatically become the owner of this managed organisation. Any users invited during the creation process will be given the Admin role. This can be changed by [switching to the managed organisation](https://scopious.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/75147003/Change+organisation#Change-Current-Organisation), and then [changing their role](https://scopious.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/75174272/Manage+organisation+members#Change-a-Member%E2%80%99s-Role).
