## Edit Firmware Version

> ℹ️ The firmware version can only be adjusted on pre-approved gateways.
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ Changing the firmware version in Scopious will **NOT** update the firmware in the gateway. It simply records the firmware version for your own reference.

To change the current firmware version associated with your gateway:

1. Navigate to the **Network > Gateways** page using the navigation menu on the left side of the screen.
2. Click on the gateway you want to edit.
3. Scroll down to the **Pre-Approved Gateway Details** section.
4. Select the context menu (…) to the right of the “Pre-Approved Gateway” badge.
5. Select the firmware version you wish to change to in the dropdown.

> ℹ️ If the firmware version you wish to change to is not available in the drop-down, request our support team to support the new version by clicking the **Request New Version** button. This will open the request in your preferred mail application or webpage. Required gateway information will be prefilled, but you will still need to add the firmware version you wish to use.
