## Upgrade a Device Pool

You can upgrade a **Standard** Device Pool to a **Premium** Device Pool so that all [pre-approved devices](https://scopious.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/21331980) in the device pool can start sending their data to the Scopious platform.

> ⚠️ Any [pre-approved devices](https://scopious.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/21331980) in the device pool will begin sending extra data in their payloads for use by the Scopious platform. If you have existing integrations to external platforms, those platforms must be able to safely ignore the extra data (decoded payload fields) to prevent disruption to those platforms.

1. Navigate to the **Network > Device Pools** page using the navigation menu on the left side of the screen.
2. Click the three dots menu (…) on the top right of the Device Pool you would like to upgrade.
3. Click **Upgrade**.
4. Step through the wizard.

## Downgrade a Device Pool

You can downgrade a **Premium** Device Pool to a **Standard** Device Pool so that all [pre-approved devices](https://scopious.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/21331980) in the device pool cease sending their data to the Scopious Platform.

> ⚠️ After downgrading, the data payload format sent to external platforms will change as decoded payload fields will no longer be included. This may cause disruptions to external platforms.

> ℹ️ You cannot downgrade a Device Pool while it has devices and no external integration(s).

1. Navigate to the **Network > Device Pools** page using the navigation menu on the left side of the screen.
2. Click the three dots menu (…) on the top right of the Device Pool you would like to downgrade.
3. Click **Downgrade**.
4. Step through the wizard.
