The Devices section in the [NOC](https://scopious.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/85917701/Glossary+of+Terms#Network-Operations-Centre-(NOC)) provides connection statistics for [devices](https://scopious.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/85917701/Glossary+of+Terms#Device). These statistics include overviews of devices status (active/inactive) and connection reliability, which are collected periodically.

## Device Status

This section displays counts of active and inactive devices. Devices are considered active if data has been received within the last 24 hours. 

The Device Status graph shows active, inactive and total device count over time. Up to 365 days of historical data can be displayed using the **Time Range** dropdown. The text shown on the graph represents the *current* number of active devices.

The percentage of active devices are also displayed as a gauge to view at a glance.

## Device Connection Reliability

Device reliability is determined by the number of successful packets received compared to the total number of packets sent. This section displays the percentage of devices with good, fair and poor reliability. Devices with good reliability have less than 5% packet loss, devices with fair reliability have between 5% and 10% packet loss and devices with poor reliability have more than 10% packet loss.

The average connection reliability for each device in the organisation or selected device pool is shown over a selectable time range. The table can be sorted by connection reliability percentage to help quickly identify devices with connection reliability issues. Click on the device ID to go straight to the device page to diagnose further.
