## Connectivity Alert condition types

> ℹ️ Note that not all conditions apply to every resource type.

There are four main condition types you can choose to monitor your resources.

### 1. Status Change

Triggers the moment a resource transitions from "Healthy" to "Unhealthy." This behaves differently depending on the resource type:

- **Devices**: Triggers if a device fails to send any data within the standard 24-hour window.
- **Gateways**: Triggers immediately when a gateway loses its connection to the network server.
- **Webhooks**: Triggers when a webhook endpoint becomes "Unhealthy" due to repeated delivery failures.

### 2. Sustained Inactivity

Acts as a "wait and see" alert. It triggers only if a resource has been offline for a specific duration that you define (e.g., 1 hour or 2 days). This applies to both **Gateways** and **Devices**.

### 3. Uptime Threshold

Triggers if the overall reliability drops below a set percentage (e.g., 95%) within a specific time window. This condition applies only to **Gateways**.

### 4. Unstable Connection

Triggers when a resource repeatedly disconnects and reconnects in a short period (e.g., 5 status changes in 1 hour). This applies only to **Gateways** and helps identify issues like unreliable internet connections or failing power supplies.
