> [Devices](https://scopious.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/85917701/Glossary+of+Terms#Device) can be bulk imported to add a large number of devices to your network quickly and easily. This can be done by uploading a spreadsheet (in .csv or .xlsx format) containing the necessary device information. We provide downloadable template spreadsheets to ensure the data is formatted correctly before you import it.

## Add Multiple Claimable Pre-Approved Devices

> ℹ️ Use this technique when adding multiple [pre-approved](https://scopious.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/21331980) devices purchased from [Go Wireless NZ](https://www.gowifi.co.nz/index.php?virtuemart_category_id%5B0%5D=78&Itemid=207&option=com_customfilters&view=products&lang=en&custom_f_48%5B0%5D=393335). When using this technique, you will only need to provide the serial number and device EUI of the devices you are importing.

Add multiple claimable pre-approved devices by uploading a spreadsheet containing the device EUIs and Serial Numbers:

1. Navigate to the **Network > Devices** page using the navigation menu on the left side of the screen.
2. Click **Import Devices**.
3. Choose a device pool.
4. Select the file format **Serial Numbers and EUIs**.
5. Download the spreadsheet template and read the instructions in the **Instructions** tab.
6. Populate the spreadsheet with the devices you wish to add and save the file. Remember to delete the example devices from the spreadsheet.
7. Drag the spreadsheet file into the file import box, or click the file import box to select the file from your computer.
8. Click **Add Devices**.

### Troubleshooting

If you encounter problems, you can view error information by clicking on **Errors** under the file import box.

- If the spreadsheet is malformatted or missing mandatory information, you will see errors similar to the following:
  - If this occurs, review the contents of your spreadsheet ensuring the header row is present, the correct columns are present, and all mandatory data is defined.
- If one or more devices could not be found in our platform, you will see errors similar to the following:
  - If this occurs, review the contents of your spreadsheet ensuring you have entered the correct information. If you have then:
    - If you purchased your devices from [Go Wireless NZ](https://www.gowifi.co.nz/index.php?virtuemart_category_id%5B0%5D=78&Itemid=207&option=com_customfilters&view=products&lang=en&custom_f_48%5B0%5D=393335) and they are [pre-approved](https://scopious.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/21331980) devices, then contact [Scopious Support](mailto:support@scopious.co.nz) and we will add them to our registry so you can claim them.
    - If you purchased your devices elsewhere, please follow the steps in how to bulk add [Non-Claimable or Non-Preapproved](https://scopious.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/75165460/Add+devices#Non-Claimable-or-Non-Preapproved-Devices) devices.

## Add Multiple Non-Claimable or Non-Preapproved Devices

> ℹ️ Use this technique when adding multiple [pre-approved](https://scopious.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/21331980) devices not purchased from [Go Wireless NZ](https://www.gowifi.co.nz/index.php?virtuemart_category_id%5B0%5D=78&Itemid=207&option=com_customfilters&view=products&lang=en&custom_f_48%5B0%5D=393335), or when adding non-preapproved devices. When using this technique, you will need to provide all the device details such as Brand, Model, Name, Device EUI, security keys, etc.

Add multiple non-claimable devices by uploading a spreadsheet containing all the device details:

1. Click **Import Devices**.
2. Choose a device pool.
3. Select the file format **Device Template**.
4. Download the spreadsheet template and read the instructions in the **Instructions** tab.
5. Populate the spreadsheet with the devices you wish to add and save the file. Remember to delete the example devices from the spreadsheet.
6. Drag the spreadsheet file into the file import box, or click the file import box to select the file from your computer.
7. Click **Add Devices**.

### Troubleshooting

- If the spreadsheet is malformatted or missing mandatory information, you will see errors similar to the following:
  - If this occurs, review the contents of your spreadsheet ensuring the header row is present, the correct columns are present, and all mandatory data is defined.
- If one or more devices are non-preapproved devices and you attempt to add them to a Premium Service device pool, you will see errors similar to the following:
  - If this occurs, try again but select a **Standard Service Level** device pool. Non-preapproved devices can only be added to Standard Service Level device pools.
